JTBC has unveiled the very first poster for its upcoming drama « We Are All Trying Here »(previously named «Everyone Is Fighting Against Their Own Worthlessness»), an introspective work starring Koo Kyo-hwan and Go Youn-jung. With this first nocturnal image, the series immediately announces a heavy, intimate and deeply human atmosphere, faithful to the universe of its scriptwriter.

Written by Park Hae-young, already acclaimed for My Mister and My Liberation Notes, The drama focuses on characters consumed by feelings of failure, envy and constant comparison with others. One look is enough to suggest all that cannot be said.

Two loners who recognize each other

Koo Kyo-hwan plays Hwang Dong-man, an aspiring director on the sidelines of success, the last invisible member of a very closed circle of recognized film figures. Always on the bangs, he masks his anxiety with incessant talk and almost feverish agitation, trying to survive in a world where he feels he'll never measure up.

Opposite him, Go Youn-jung plays Byun Eun-ah, a producer feared for her trenchant script analyses, nicknamed “The Ax”. Seemingly solid and perfectly in control, she nevertheless struggles with deep-seated traumas, her body betraying her emotions when they get out of hand. Her encounter with Dong-man acts as an unexpected mirror: by understanding him, she begins to repair herself, while he finally finds value where he saw only emptiness.

The poster, sober and tense, shows the two characters motionless in a street plunged into the night, unable to look away. It's a simple but meaningful image that sums up the essence of the drama: two broken people, unable to move forward alone, but perhaps able to breathe together.

We Are All Trying Here is expected in the second quarter of 2026 on JTBC and on Netflix.
