“Villains”: Yoo Ji-tae, Lee Beom-soo, and Lee Min-jung dive into a deadly war over a counterfeit bill

The original TVING series « Villains »reveals posters and a preview of the first two episodes. This new crime action drama focuses on the brutal confrontations between individuals attracted by an extremely accurate counterfeit banknote, nicknamed the «Supernote.» A fierce battle ensues as the protagonists exchange counterfeit bills for real ones... before the real ones are stolen in turn, triggering an unpredictable mind game in which each tries to outdo the other.

The posters highlight three key figures: J (Yoo Ji-tae), Cha Ki-tae (Lee Beom-soo) and Han Soo-hyun (Lee Min-jung). On J's poster, the chilling phrase «I'll help you make real money." " embodies the confidence of a criminal mastermind with an impeccable success rate. Known by the code name «J,» he is the architect of the famous «Casino Dealer Counterfeit Bill Case» and seems ready to orchestrate a dangerous new game.

A broken former agent and a genius artist drawn into the storm

Cha Ki-tae, former head of the financial crimes unit at the NIS, lost everything after getting caught up in this case. His sharp gaze pierces the darkness, accompanied by the phrase «I chase real money by following its scent.», a direct reference to the return of Supernote and his obsession with capturing J, the man who destroyed his career.

Han Soo-hyun, meanwhile, is the country's top banknote designer. Her poster announces: «I'm going to make real money for you.», raising the question of his choice to help J and venture into this minefield. His gaze, filled with contained anger, hints at a buried past and a vengeance ready to blossom.

The Supernote game begins: conspiracies, betrayals, and confrontations

The trailer for episodes 1 and 2 further develops the stakes. J appears as a genius strategist sought after by international agencies. His calm smile is intriguing when he declares: «My nickname is J.»

The preview also introduces key figures: Jang Jung-hyuk (Kwak Do-won), head of violent crimes for the Seoul Metropolitan Police; NIS agent Cha Ki-tae; and Han Soo-hyun, heir to the country's foremost expert in banknote design. The decisive moment comes when J orders Han Soo-hyun: «Print 300,000 counterfeit banknotes.» From there, meticulous scheming, clandestine exchanges, unexpected betrayals, and violent confrontations follow one after another, creating a story where nothing goes according to plan.

The starting point of the war is sealed when J finally says: «Shall we begin?», suggesting a ruthless conflict dominated by greed and strategy.

Villains will be available starting on December 18 on TVING (waiting for an OTT).
