TVING's original series, « Villains« continues to reveal itself with new stills that highlight the fascinating yet dangerous collaboration between Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung. In this crime thriller, alliances are never what they seem, and each character carries their own demons.

A criminal mastermind and a currency design expert will stop at nothing to get their hands on the “Supernote.”
Villains explores the clashes between criminals over a counterfeit bill of formidable perfection, nicknamed the “Supernote”. Those who attempt to exchange counterfeit bills for real money immediately become targets for other criminals ready to rob them, leading to a ruthless mind game.
Among them, J (Yoo Ji-tae), a master criminal with a chilling reputation, examines a counterfeit bill in the new stills. His sharp, piercing gaze reflects a methodical mind, capable of orchestrating the most daring heists, including the infamous casino counterfeiting scandal that once shook the entire country. Nothing in his posture or expression betrays the slightest doubt.

At his side, Han Soo-hyun (Lee Min-jung) stands out for her talent as a currency designer. In one of the photos, she slips into the role of a casino dealer, clearly ready to immerse herself in the part for their operation. She agrees to collaborate with J for one secret reason only: revenge. A tragic event destroyed her life, and her revenge is now within reach. She will not hesitate to turn the tables to get back what was stolen from her.

Two allies who are advancing under cover and who could betray each other at any moment
The tense chemistry between J and Soo-hyun creates an explosive dynamic: two brilliant minds, two different goals, and an alliance ready to implode at the slightest misstep. In a world where every pact is temporary, their respective ambitions may collide sooner than they think.

Yoo Ji-tae explains, «J's charm lies in his overwhelming talent and quiet confidence. To create a villain with a unique rhythm, different from classic antagonists, I studied many genres.»

For her part, Lee Min-jung confides, «I was drawn to the intensity of the characters and the succession of deceptions. The confrontations between J and the others are fascinating, and I think viewers will become increasingly curious to find out where it all leads.»
About Soo-hyun, she adds, «She is a strong woman who fights with all her might in a miserable situation. Since this is the first time I've played a role like this, I can't wait for viewers to discover Han Soo-hyun.»

Villains will release episodes 1 and 2 on December 18 on TVING (no OTT at this time).
