The new romantic drama « Can This Love Be Translated? »has unveiled its main poster and a new trailer, promising a sweet, unpredictable, and decidedly international love story. Starring Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung, The series plays with language barriers to better explore those of the heart.
The plot follows Joo Ho-jin, brilliant multilingual interpreter, and Cha Mu-hee, a world-famous superstar actress. Initially bound by a strictly professional relationship, their exchanges quickly take on a more personal tone, as they encounter each other unexpectedly in several countries. The central question of the drama then emerges: can love truly be understood when words fail?
A meeting written as if by fate
The main poster immediately highlights the chemistry between the two protagonists. Ho-jin and Mu-hee gaze tenderly at each other against the backdrop of a sun-drenched Italian street, reinforcing the warm and romantic atmosphere of the series. This European setting intrigues and suggests that Italy will play a key role in their story, which extends far beyond Korea.
The teaser begins with Ho-jin demonstrating his talent, switching naturally between Japanese and Italian. Shortly afterwards, a chance encounter in a restaurant in Japan leads to a scene of bickering between Ho-jin and Mu-hee. Fate then brings them together during an interview, where Ho-jin officially becomes Mu-hee's interpreter, now an international star participating in a global dating show. At his side is Hiroplayed by Sota Fukushi, known as the «prince of romance» in Japan.
When Mu-hee invites Ho-jin to accompany her to the filming of the program Romantic Trip, his smile marks the true beginning of their romance. But the teaser also leaves room for doubt. Mu-hee declares: " Whether it cuts or hurts, go ahead. This time, I'll understand.» To which Ho-jin replies, «Explain it so I can understand. Your language is too difficult for me.» A clear metaphor for their relationship, where feelings sometimes seem more complex than any foreign language.
