Money can't buy happiness, they say. But when reality hits hard, sometimes it seems to be the only way out. It's on this ridge that tvN's new drama To The Moon, due on September 19 at 9:50pm (KST). Brought to you by Lee Sun-bin, Ra Mi-ran, Jo Aram and Kim Young-daeThis drama takes us on a wild ride of survival, forgotten dreams and... cryptocurrency.

Three women on the brink
Adapted from the novel of the same name, To The Moon tells the story of 3 middle-class women, worn down by daily life, bills, debts... and disillusionment. Lacking prospects, they make a radical decision: to invest in cryptocurrencies. Not out of a desire for wealth, but because they have nothing left to lose.
Today's teaser unveils these characters as well as Kim Young-dae.
Jung Da-hae (Lee Sun-bin), relegated to an unrecruited position in Maron Confectionery's marketing department, dreams of a quiet, smooth life. But faced with the hostility of her hierarchy and exhaustion, she finally snaps: "I'm going to try. I want to go as far as money can take me. I won't stop."
Kang Eun-sang (Ra Mi-ran), in the support department, is more pragmatic. She urges her friends to invest, even if it means forcing their hand a little. But behind her apparent toughness lies unwavering loyalty: "I won't let you down. I'm with you all the way.
Kim Ji Song (Jo Aram) is more carefree, juggling compulsive shopping, dating and credit card debts. Suspicious at first, she ends up following her two friends, fearing that reality is already "worse than hell".
Kim Young-dae, dreamer against the tide
In the middle of this female trio, Ham Ji-woo (Kim Young-dae), head of the Big Data team at the same company, is an exception. Talented, attractive, respected... he seems to have it all. But unlike the others, he's not after money He's chasing a dream - of music - that he'd put aside. When he runs into Da Hae, who remembers one of his forgotten songs, his past resurfaces: "If someone still remembers it, maybe it's worth trying again. Even if I hurt myself."
To The Moon promises to deal with humour, tenderness and lucidity the disillusionment of an exhausted generationwho is trying to survive in a world that never seems to work in his favor. Against a backdrop of crypto-mania, female solidarity and buried dreams, the drama asks a simple question: when things go wrong, how far are you willing to go to hope for the best?
