What if survival meant taking a risky gamble? This is the starting point for To The Moonthe next drama from MBCwhich is about to unveil a story as poignant as it is topical. Between humor, friendship and economic despair, the series promises a raw (but humane) look at the quest for a better future.

Three women face the wall

Adapted from the novel of the same name, the series follows three precarious employees of Maron Confectioneryall of whom are not officially recruited, and are therefore often sidelined at work.

  • Lee Sun-bin embodies Jung Da-haea communications manager struggling to find her place.
  • Jo Aram play Kim Ji-songtrapped in a mountain of debt but unable to give up her lifestyle.
  • Ra Mi-ran is Kang Eun-sanga member of the administrative support team, lucid but just as stuck in a dead end.

Different in age, character and aspirations, they all share the same reality: being "outsiders" in a cut-throat professional world.

When crypto becomes hope

Exhausted by humiliations and failures, they decided to take a crazy risk: investing in the cryptocurrency. "Even when we think we're collapsing, there's a curve that eventually goes back up. For us, crypto may be the only chance," says Eun Sang in the teaser, symbolizing their despair as much as their fragile hope.

This choice, both dangerous and daring, becomes their survival plan and perhaps the key to regaining control of their destiny.

Friendship, humor... and an unexpected romance

Beyond this social intrigue, the drama also explores the bonds forged in the face of adversity. The chemistry between these three women promises funny, touching and inspiring moments. But the story doesn't stop there: the teaser also reveals the meeting between Da Hae and Ham Ji Woo (played by Kim Young-dae). Initially at odds, they gradually grow closer, buoyed by one of Ji Woo's defining phrases: "You're capable of turning any place into a stage."

Appointment imminent

With its solid cast and realistic subject matter, "To The Moon" is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited dramas of the fall season. It will air from September 19 at 9:50pm (KST) on MBC (waiting for an international broadcaster).
