MBC is about to unveil a highly anticipated drama: To the Moon. Adapted from the novel of the same name, it combines the quest for dreams, financial difficulties and new-found hope through deeply human characters. Among them, Kim Young-dae will play a central role, that of Ham Ji-woo, a man who seemed to have it all... but hadn't yet found his true path.

A modern, realistic setting
The plot follows 3 women from modest backgrounds who, stifled by inadequate salaries, turn to cryptocurrency investing in an attempt to change their fortunes. Lee Sun-bin plays Jung Da-hae, Ra Mi-ran plays Kang Eun-sang, and Jo Aram plays Kim Ji-song. Three heroines ready to brave the system to survive and dream of a better life.
Kim Young-dae, a seemingly perfect man... but incomplete
Facing them, Kim Young-dae plays Ham Ji-woo, head of the Big Data team at Maron Confectionery. Brilliant, attractive and financially stable, he seems to represent the image of success. Yet behind this facade, Ham Ji-woo hides a deep regret: that of having left his true dreams behind.

The his meeting with Jung Da-hae (Lee Sun-bin), an employee of his company, who turns his daily life upside down. Through her contact, he rediscovers a passion he had thought extinguished, and dares to hope again.

A richer character than in the novel
In the TV adaptation, Ham Ji-woo's role has been considerably developed. The production team confided that Kim Young-dae was able to give his character a three-dimensional dimension, making his emotions and contradictions palpable. His natural complicity with Lee Sun-bin won over the whole set, confirming his status as a male lead capable of making hearts beat faster.
Part social drama, part emotional romance, To the Moon promises to reach a wide audience, evoking both today's economic struggles and the importance of never giving up on your dreams. Scheduled to premiere on September 19 at 9:50pm (KST) on MBC (awaiting international distribution).
