The romantic sageuk « To My Beloved Thief »continues to reveal its cards with new previews focused on Moon Sang-min. The actor plays a brilliant and mysterious Joseon prince whose fascination with an enigmatic thief will change the course of his destiny.
A prince who plays detective
In To My Beloved Thief, Yi Yeol (Moon Sang-min), Prince Dowol, possesses everything his rank demands: impeccable looks, sharp intelligence, and exceptional martial skills. Yet he chooses to hide his true nature behind the image of a carefree, almost idle young man.
Under the guise of entertainment, Yi Yeol gets caught up in the investigation and regularly visits the police station, pretending to be a simple amateur officer. It is during these escapades that he crosses paths (or rather shadows) with Gil Dong, a mysterious thief who appears and disappears without a trace. Very quickly, what was just a pastime becomes an obsession.
The new stills show Yi Yeol focused, a confident smile on his lips, analyzing the drawings left by Gil Dong at the scenes of his crimes and carefully studying his composite sketch. Accustomed to capturing criminals, this time the prince seems to be facing an extraordinary adversary.
An obsession that hides a deeper secret
Day and night, Yi Yeol pursues the elusive thief, unable to divert his attention. However, this relentless pursuit raises an essential question: Why is a royal prince so invested in this dangerous game?
Behind his mask of dilettantism lies a man who has chosen to suppress his talents in order to protect those dear to him. While Yi Yeol possesses all the qualities of an accomplished ruler, his frivolous attitude is nothing more than a carefully maintained facade. His encounter with Gil Dong (and the fate that binds them) could well crack this shell.
While the plot promises an unexpected soul swap between Yi Yeol and Hong Eun-jo (Nam Ji-hyun), the line between hunter and prey, duty and desire, is becoming increasingly blurred.
