TVING hits back with new drama " Villains" a crime thriller in which money is just the bait and betrayal the weapon. The first poster aligns 3 icy silhouettes, those of Yoo Ji-tae, Lee Min-jung and Lee Beom-soo, united by the same target: a counterfeit bill of disturbing perfection, the "Supernote".
Supernote, the beating heart of a fool's game
The series revolves around a seemingly simple but deeply flawed mechanism: exchanging fakes for the real thing... until it's stolen. Every transaction becomes a Russian roulette, every alliance a promise already cracked. The poster sets the tone with its straightforward slogan: "The 'super' crime of the worst begins". Nothing is stable in this universe; even money is no longer a refuge.
Three paths, one obsession
At the center is "J", played by Yoo Ji-tae: a mythical criminal mastermind with a reputation for infallibility, architect of the so-called "Casino Dealer" case. His aura is that of a strategist who leaves nothing to chance, except perhaps his adversaries.
Opposite him is Cha Ki-tae (Lee Beom-soo), former head of a national intelligence financial unit, shattered by the affair that destroyed his career. The "Supernote" reappears; his hunt resumes. It's no longer an investigation, it's a vendetta.
And then there's Han Soo-hyun (Lee Min-jung), a banknote creator and monetary design genius whose life is turned upside down after a key incident. Long in the shadows, she returns to turn around a game she knows better than anyone, even if it means burning it to the ground.
The production promises a duel of intelligences where every move is calculated, every silence suspicious: "Each 'villain' pursues the Supernote for his own reasons... expect a breathless mental game of manipulation and conflict."
Villains lands on December 18 on TVING (waiting for an international broadcaster).
