This June 19, 2025, Disney+ has announced news that will delight fans of Kdramas: the long-awaited adaptation of the famous webtoon " The second husband" named here " The remarried Empress" . Scheduled for release in 2026, the series promises to combine romance and fantasy in a plot where betrayals, power struggles and plot twists take center stage.

A captivating plot and complex characters
The story of The Remarried Empress is set in a fictional world where Navier (Shin Min-ah), empress of the powerful Eastern Empire, sees her world fall apart when she learns that her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon), has divorced her after betraying her with a slave. But instead of sinking into despair, Navier rises with dignity and demands to remarry Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Empire. A true act of courage and revenge that promises to captivate audiences.
The main roles are played by well-known Korean stars. Shin Min-ah, who plays Empress Navier and has already won acclaim for her performances in successful dramas, plays a complex character here, combining intelligence, grace and inner strength. She is joined by Ju Ji-hoon as Emperor Sovieshu, a man caught between his promises and his desires, and Lee Jong-suk as Heinrey, a mysterious prince whose appeal goes far beyond appearances.
