The mystery thriller The Price of Confession " is revealed in a series of new stills that plunge the viewer into a game of allegiances, secrets and personal interests. At the center of this dark tale: Jeon Do-yeon as Yun Su, accused of murdering her husband, and Kim Go-eun as Mo Eun, an elusive woman nicknamed the "witch".
An accusation, a "witch", and a proposal impossible to refuse
The new images show Yun Su in the middle of a police interrogation, her distressed face framed by the coldness of the room. She, who used to lead a peaceful existence, suddenly discovers that she is the number one suspect. The shots show her sometimes screaming in despair, dressed as a prisoner, sometimes frozen at the scene of the crime, as if her life had been turned upside down in an instant. Both her guilt and innocence seem possible, making her fate all the more uncertain.
In contrast, Mo Eun appears with a frozen, almost lifeless expression, as if nothing could touch him. Whether in court or in the interrogation room, her face shows no emotion whatsoever. This chilling constancy feeds the rumor that follows her: that of a woman surrounded by an almost supernatural aura. When she meets Yun Su in prison, she offers him a deal whose price, and consequences, seem impossible to measure.
A prosecutor obsessed with the truth and a circle of characters with murky intentions
At the same time, stills show the prosecutor Baek Dong-hun, played by Park Hae-soo, alone in a blood-stained room, determined to unearth the truth. We also see him face to face with Mo Eun, convinced that Yun Su is guilty and determined to decipher the strange, almost dangerous bond between the two women.
Around them gravitate several characters who could turn the investigation on its head:
- Jang Jeong-gu (Jin Sun-kyu), Yun Su's lawyer, trying to unravel an increasingly opaque case.
- Kim Mun-jun (Lee Mi-do), a friend who has come to see her in prison, also seems to have her share of questions.
- Wal Soon (Kim Sun-young), a fellow inmate with a disturbing presence.
- And Bae Soon-deok (Lee Sang-hee), Yun Su's probation officer, whose role could prove crucial.
All are gathered around the same neuralgic point: two women linked by a crime, but also by a secret that no one yet knows.
The Price of Confession will be available on December 5 on Netflix.
