Netflix's new thriller, The Price of Confessioncontinues to reveal its dark, suffocating atmosphere. The drama features 2 women whose lives are turned upside down the day a murder occurs: Yun Soo, played by Jeon Do-yeon, accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun, played by Kim Go-eun, an enigmatic woman whom everyone calls the witch. The new teaser and poster unveiled today already reveal a cold, eerie tension.
A murder, a deal, and two destinies locked in the same tragedy.
The poster shows Yun Soo and Mo Eun separated by a wall, but connected by their looks. Yun Soo appears in blood-stained clothes, her face flushed with fear and anguish. On the other side, Mo Eun maintains her icy calm, observing her opposite number as if she had already mastered every piece of the game. This opposition suggests a complex bond between the two, one that the story sets out to reveal.
Accused of her husband's murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at the first trial, Yun Soo finds herself face to face with Mo Eun, who offers her a terrifying deal: confess to the crime in her place. But the offer isn't free. Mo Eun asks her, in return, to kill someone in her place, someone she herself has been unable to eliminate. This pact marks the beginning of a dangerous relationship of manipulation, secrets and shifting power relations.
A deadly game where every confession has a price
The teaser gives a chilling glimpse of their exchanges. Mo Eun whispers to Yun Soo: "About your husband, I'll confess that I killed him." Moments later, the condition comes down hard: Yun Soo must commit murder in return. Through tense scenes and meaningful glances, the drama establishes a climate where every gesture can tip the two women into irreversibility.
They are surrounded by other characters who further complicate the situation. Prosecutor Baek Dong-hun, played by Park Hae-soo, is determined to understand what unites the 2 women. Lawyers Jang Jung-gu (Jin Sun-kyu) and Jin Young-in (Choi Young-joon) try to protect their clients, but quickly come up against the growing mystery of their behavior.
The last words of the teaser sound like a threat: "You must die so that we can live," Yun Soo whispers. Mo Eun, unperturbed, replies: "It's time to return the favor."
"The Price of Confession" promises to be a psychological thriller as intense as it is disturbing, driven by 2 exceptional actresses.
