The platform Disney+ has unveiled an explosive new teaser for its upcoming thriller The Manipulated, supported by Ji Chang-wook and Doh Kyung-soo (D.O.).
Revenge born of manipulation
The drama tells the story of Tae Joong (Ji Chang-wook), an ordinary man whose life is turned upside down when he is falsely accused of a crime and sent to prison. Discovering that it was all orchestrated by Yo Han (Doh Kyung-soo), the head of a private security company serving the powerful, he embarks on a relentless quest for revenge.
The teaser shows the methodical coldness of Yo Han, who erases all traces of a murder and designates Tae Joong as the ideal culprit. Behind bars, Tae Joong endures violence and humiliation, before transforming physically and mentally into a true hunter.
A tense manhunt
Accompanied by Noh Yong-sik (Kim Jong-soo) and his daughter Eun-bi (Jo Yoon-soo), his only allies, Tae Joong gradually attacks Yo Han's network. As Yo Han watches his retaliation with an icy smile, cracks begin to appear in his empire. Scathing dialogues such as "That knife you're holding, do you know who it really hurts?" and brutal confrontations herald a psychological duel as intense as it is bloody.
The teaser concludes with Tae Joong's implacable promise: "I'll kill you, whatever it takes. Just wait for me. I'll find you, and you'll pay."
The Manipulated will be launched on November 5 on Disney+with 4 first episodes, followed by 2 episodes each week for a total of 1é episodes.
