KBS2 unveils new key images from « To My Beloved Thief«announcing a major emotional turning point in the relationship between Hong Eun-jo (Nam Ji-hyun) and Yi-yeol (Moon Sang-min). The drama tells the story of a young woman who unwittingly becomes the bandit Gil Dong and a Joseon royal prince whose soul is exchanged with hers while he is hunting her down. This reversal of fate gradually brings them closer together, eventually leading them to save each other and protect the people.
Two secret lives, two paths that cross
Hong Eun-jo leads a double life. By day, she cares for the sick with attention and compassion. By night, she becomes Gil Dong, a thief who robs the granaries of corrupt officials to restore a sense of justice.
For his part, Grand Prince Yi-yeol disguises himself as a vagabond in order to protect those dear to him and takes great pleasure in playing the role of royal inspector. Unaware that the bandit he relentlessly pursues is in fact Hong Eun-jo (the woman for whom he has feelings), he pursues her day and night, unaware of the deep bond that already unites them.
Coming from radically different worlds, separated by their status and life experiences, their meeting seems inevitable. It remains to be seen how their paths will eventually intertwine... and what form their romance will take.
Images charged with emotion and promise
The new images capture those delicate moments when feelings begin to evolve. One of them shows their very first encounter, on a rainy day, as they hastily take shelter under an eave. Hong Eun-jo appears dressed in elegant silk, while Yi-yeol is dressed like a man of the people, creating an almost reversed scene that immediately intrigues.
Another image reveals the subtle tension that develops between them. As Hong Eun-jo and Yi-yeol gravitate toward each other, anticipation grows: how will their relationship evolve, and how far will their intertwined destinies take them?
To My Beloved Thief will start on January 3 at 9:20 p.m. (KST) on KBS2 (waiting for an OTT).
