The South Korean remake of Mary Kills People is set to make its mark this summer on MBC. Scheduled for August 1st at 10pmThis new series promises to be an intense thriller with an exceptional cast, featuring Lee Bo-young, Lee Min-ki and Kang Ki-young in deep, complex roles. Images from the first script reading have just been unveiled.

A delicate subject treated with intensity
Mary Kills People tells the story of Woo So-jung (played by Lee Bo-young), an emergency doctor who clandestinely helps dying patients put an end to their suffering. Between conviction and moral dilemma, his character explores the limits of medical ethics. Lee Bo-young delivers a gripping performance, blending strength and fragility, that promises to captivate viewers.
Facing her, Lee Min-ki plays Jo Hyun-woo, a man with terminal cancer. With sobriety and intensity, he expresses the weariness of a man on the verge of death, ready to do anything for a dignified end. Kang Ki-young, plays Choi Dae-hyun, a former plastic surgeon and loyal friend of So Jung. Subtle humor and benevolence mingle with his performance, providing breaths of fresh air in an emotionally-charged story.




Solid actors in outstanding roles
Surrounding the main trio are Baek Hyun-jin in the role of an enigmatic businessman, Kwon Hae-hyo as a humanist priest, Kim Tae-woo as a national police chief, and Seo Young-hee as a lawyer and the heroine's neighbor. Each actor, from the most experienced to the youngest, embodied rich characters with great accuracy, reinforcing the dramatic tension as soon as the script was read.
With a bold theme and an ambitious artistic team, Mary Kills People Korean version will be one of the kdramas to watch this summer!
