As its broadcast approaches, the drama « Love Me » highlights a universal question: what is love, and how do we learn it? Actors Seo Hyun-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Si-woo, Yoon Sea, Chang Ryul, and Dahyun (TWICE) each shared their personal definitions of love, closely linked to their characters' journeys.

Adapted from a Swedish series, Love Me is a JTBC drama centered on an imperfect but deeply human family. Marked by loss and loneliness, Seo Jun-kyung, Seo Jin-ho, and Seo Jun-seo cross paths with Jin Ja-young, Joo Do-hyun, and Ji Hye-on, and each embark on an intimate journey toward love and rebuilding their lives.
Choose, trust, and learn to love yourself
Seo Hyun-jin, who plays obstetrician-gynecologist Seo Jun-kyung, defines love as «a choice and trust». She explains that her character does not open her heart easily, but when she chooses a feeling, she does not run away from it: she fully embraces it and takes responsibility for it.
For Yoo Jae-myung, who plays Seo Jin-ho, love first arises from guilt. He confides, «Jin-ho's love begins with a feeling of guilt.» Always convinced that he is not good enough, Jin-ho realizes, when he meets Ja-young, that he too deserves to be loved. The actor adds: «Just as he continues to live despite his mistakes and regrets, his love is a work in progress, built day by day.»

Lee Si-woo, who plays Seo Jun-seo, sees love as «friendship.» In an unstable family and facing an uncertain future, Hye-on, his friend of 10 years, accepts him as he is. For him, love means staying by someone's side without trying to change them.

A constant presence, discreet but essential
Yoon Sea, who plays Jin Ja-young, describes love as «just being there for each other». Her character does not avoid her emotions or relationships. She proves her love through her actions, with patience and consistency, rather than through grand declarations.

Chang Ryul, in the role of musical director Joo Do-hyun, compares love to «everyday life». He evokes the desire to become someone with whom one shares a warm space after work, someone who welcomes the emotions of the day without hiding them, and with whom one dreams of shared happiness.

Finally, Dahyun (TWICE), who plays Ji Hye-on, defines love as «a heart that stays by your side without changing.» Having been with Jun-seo since kindergarten, Hye-on accepts his anxieties and waits patiently for him. For her, love is not manifested through spectacular emotions, but through a faithful and unwavering presence.

The production team sums up the spirit of the drama by explaining: «Rather than offering a single answer to the question of love, Love Me tells the story of characters who learn to love from their own place in life.» She adds that viewers will feel that the forms and rhythms of love differ, even within the same family.
Love Me will start on December 19 at 8:50 p.m. (KST) on JTBC, and will be available for streaming on Viki.
