The drama " The Absolute Value of Romance »has just confirmed its cast, and promises an original approach blending romance, imagination and school life. The series will feature Kim Hyang-gi, Cha Hak-yeon, Kim Jae-hyun, Sohn Jeong-hyuck and Kim Dong-gyu.
Carried by a bold idea, the drama focuses on a high-school girl whose romantic imagination ends up colliding with reality, transforming her daily school life into an emotional whirlwind.
A heroine between fact and fiction
Kim Hyang-gi plays Yeo Ui-ju, a seemingly ordinary high-school student by day, but a romance novelist by night. In her stories, the heroes are none other than attractive teachers, idealized by her fertile imagination. Able to navigate freely between her daydreams and reality, Ui-ju gradually becomes the focal point of unforeseen events when these romantic figures appear in her real life.
The character promises a nuanced performance, oscillating between innocence, adolescent curiosity and precocious emotional maturity, a terrain in which Kim Hyang-gi has excelled for several years.

Teachers with very different charms
Opposite her, Cha Hak-yeon plays Ga Woo-su, a brilliant, aloof math teacher. With an IQ of 156 and a member of Mensa, he embodies the archetypal cold genius, whose intellect and imposing presence create an intriguing dynamic with Ui-ju.
Around him gravitates a gallery of teachers with very distinct personalities. Kim Jae-hyun plays Noh Da-ju, a multilingual Japanese teacher with infectious energy, capable of lightening the mood in any situation. Sohn Jeong-hyuck plays Jung Gi-jeon, a sports teacher with a masculine charisma, while Kim Dong-gyu lends his features to Yoon Dong-ju, a reassuringly gentle Korean teacher.
The production is entrusted to Lee Tae-gonknown for Hello, My Twenties!, This sensitive, fast-paced story combines romance, humor and coming-of-age.
The Absolute Value of Romance is scheduled for release in April.
