Netflix has unveiled a first look at « Teach You a Lesson« a hard-hitting drama that tackles the crisis of school authority head-on. Presented as a series that is both acerbic and cathartic, The story of a fictitious government unit tasked with restoring balance to schools plagued by unmanageable students, all-powerful parents and overworked teachers.

A special brigade to protect teachers
At the heart of the story is the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB), a task force created to intervene where the education system has failed. Kim Moo-yeol plays Na Hwa-jin, a methodical, no-nonsense inspector sent into the field to enforce rules that have become dead letters. Opposite him, Lee Sung-min plays Choi Gang-seok, the Education Minister behind this controversial unit, aware that restoring teachers' authority involves unpopular decisions.

The series explores the tensions between educational ideals, political pressure and reality on the ground, posing a central question: how far can we go to protect those who teach, without tipping over into abuse of power?
A team with contrasting profiles
The ERPB is completed by figures with singular backgrounds. Jin Ki-joo plays Im Han-rim, a former special forces inspector, bringing a direct, physical approach to the most extreme interventions. Opposite, P.O. plays Bong Geun-dae, an officer as brilliant as he is unpredictable, whose apparent disorder conceals a formidable efficiency.

The production is entrusted to Hong Jong-chan, already noticed for Juvenile Justice, while the screenplay is by Lee Nam-kyuknown for Daily Dose of Sunshine. A creative duo that promises an uncompromising yet deeply human look at an education system under strain.
