A breath of fresh air is blowing through Korean BL dramas! The global platform Heavenly, specializing in BL content, has just announced its very first original production in partnership with studio WeMad : Peach Blossoms Bloomed (working title), a romantic comedy scheduled for release in the second half of 2025.
A quest for love... full of twists and turns
The drama will follow the story of Do Ha, a young man who has been single all his life and is looking for love for the first time. But his quest for a boyfriend soon becomes a journey fraught with pitfalls, with confused feelings, unexpected tensions and unforeseen encounters with three men with very different personalities. Between laughter, awkwardness and butterflies in the stomach, Peach Blossoms Bloomed promises a clever blend of lightness and emotion.
A quartet of actors with explosive potential
- Subin (ex-member of the band VICTON), already spotted in Psycho Pass Diary or Dear My Name, will play Do Ha, this ordinary young adult, a little clumsy in love but touching in his sincerity.
- Cha Se-jinrookie revealed in the webdramas Fragile and Probability of Romance in Travel Season 3.5, will play Taek Gyeon, Do Ha's loyal childhood friend of 17 years. He'll bring freshness and tenderness to this naturally charming best-buddy character.
- Lee Do-hanmodel-turned-actor, will play Jeon Yeon-sang, Do Ha's cold, distant boss. Charismatic and intimidating, he brings a deliciously dramatic dose of tension to the story.
- Cha Yu-hyunYeon Ha-ram, spotted in The Escape of the Seven, will be Yeon Ha-ram, a cheerful and spontaneous seducer, adept at overt flirtation. His impressive physique (190 cm) and communicative energy already make him a highly anticipated character.
A romance of many colors
According to the production team, the series will recount "the 4 seasons of love", through the interactions between these colorful characters. The team promises intense chemistry between the cast and a balance of humor, emotion and tender moments. "The synergy between the 4 actors and our experienced team will offer viewers a veritable whirlwind of feelings," said Heavenly.
