Season 2 of « Study Group »continues to take shape. On February 2, it was officially confirmed that Shin Su-hyun will be joining Hwang Min-hyun for the sequel to TVING's hit drama.
The information, first relayed by the Korean press, was quickly confirmed by the actress's agency, Management Run, putting an end to speculation about her return.
A reunion for season 2
Adapted from a popular webtoon, Study Group is an action-comedy school drama centered on Youn Ga-min. A student at a high school infamous for its catastrophic standards, he nevertheless dreams of succeeding academically... despite a talent for fighting that is far more marked than for exams. To survive in this brutal environment, he forms a study group and finds himself plunged into a struggle that is as physical as it is mental.
Broadcast on TVING, the first season met with notable international success, reaching the Top 5 in over 140 regions on Viki. Unsurprisingly, Hwang Min-hyun had already been confirmed to reprise his role in the new season.
Even higher stakes for the Study Group
In the first season, Shin Su-hyun played Lee Ji-woo, a member of the Study Group at Yusung Technical High School. An upright and courageous character, unable to turn a blind eye in the face of injustice, he impressed viewers with his determination.
