The chain tvN is preparing an ambitious new musical drama with « Four Hands« whose main cast has just been officially confirmed. Inspired by a pianistic term referring to 2 musicians playing on the same piano, the series follows a group of young artists who meet at a high school specializing in the arts and grow up together, between passion, rivalry and the quest for identity.

The story follows these students from adolescence to adulthood, as they try to establish themselves as professional pianists. Through their lives, Four Hands promises to explore the fine line between friendship and competition, as well as the way in which music can both bring people together and change their destinies.

Prodigies, rivalries and raw emotions

Song Kang is Kang Bi-oh, a piano prodigy of natural elegance and perfectionism. Always top of his class, both academically and musically, he devotes every moment to his practice. Promised a brilliant future and expected to dominate the greatest international competitions, his perfectly mastered world falters when a rival appears and challenges everything he took for granted.

This rival, Choi Jeong-yo, is played by Lee Jun-young. A genius pianist marked by a difficult childhood, he has long shunned his own talent. His sudden arrival at this elite high school, reserved for the very best, rekindles a buried past and gives rise to a singular tension when he comes face to face with Kang Bi-oh, the central figure in his complex relationship with music.

At their side, Jang Gyuri plays Hong Jae-in, a viola student with an exceptionally fine ear. Capable of instantly grasping the beauty of a melody, she is nonetheless in search of music that truly moves her. Since childhood, only Kang Bi-oh's music seems to meet this requirement, giving rise to a deep and sincere friendship, imbued with support and sensitivity.

Between artistic excellence, intimate wounds and contradictory emotions, Four Hands promises to be a drama in which music becomes the mirror of inner conflicts and intense human bonds.

Four Hands is expected on tvN at second half of 2026.
