Actor Song Geon-hee, who came to public attention with Lovely Runner, has finally chosen his next project: he will star in the dramatic thriller Scarecrowa new series produced by ENA, scheduled for release in the first half of 2026.
According to exclusive information from MyDaily on October 27, Song Geon-hee will play one of the leading roles in this ambitious work, described as a A gripping thriller combining hatred, truth and unexpected alliances.
A gripping thriller spanning three decades
Scarecrow will tell the story of a man forced to join forces with his worst enemy to track down a serial killer. The plot stretches from 1988 to 2019, tracing 33 years of secrets, revenge and personal quests. Inspired by the real-life case of serial killer Lee Chun-jae, the drama will explore not only the hunt for the murderer, but also the shattered lives of those who lived alongside him or suffered his crimes.
Far from a simple whodunit, Scarecrow is first and foremost a human dramawhere the psychological and emotional consequences of the murders take center stage.
The drama is directed by Park Joon-woo, the acclaimed director of Taxi Driver, Crash and Mary Kills People.
The screenplay is by Lee Ji-hyun, with whom he had previously collaborated on Taxi Driver.
