Netflix has lifted the veil on first images for his new historical drama« The Scandal« presented at the event Next on Netflix 2026 Korea. Adapted from the cult film Untold Scandal (2003), the series promises to be a sensual and dangerous fresco, where desire becomes a weapon in a society corseted by rules and appearances.

Set in the Joseon era, the story involves a daring and perilous gamble. Lady Cho, a brilliant woman whose wit and talents go far beyond what was expected of women of her time, embarks on a game of manipulation with Cho Won, the kingdom's most famous seducer. Their cruel amusement soon draws a 3rd person into their spiral of lies and pretense, turning the game into an emotional tragedy.
A prestigious cast for a sensual fresco
In this dangerous triangle, Son Ye-jin plays Lady Cho, the central figure in this story of desire and power. Opposite her, Ji Chang-wook slips into the shoes of Cho Won, a charismatic libertine on a perpetual quest for thrills and conquests.


Nana The trio is completed by Hui Yeon, a noble widow renowned for her virtue, whose unwitting entry into this forbidden game upsets the fragile balance established by the two manipulators.

The production is entrusted to Jung Ji-woo, known for his ability to explore a wide range of registers, from Tune in for Love à Somebody. Her sensitivity promises an elegant, psychological approach to this story of seduction, where glances and silences weigh as heavily as words.
