One of SBS's upcoming romantic dramas, « Sold Out on You« promises an encounter as unlikely as it is warm. A new image reveals Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin in a romantic comedy where rural tranquility collides with the hustle and bustle of the media world.
Presented on February 10 at SBS's 2026 programming reveal, the drama promises to be a sweet and quirky romance, carried by two characters who have everything working against them.
A versatile farmer attached to his peaceful life
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Matthew Lee, nicknamed «Mechoori», an affectionate pun on the Korean pronunciation of his first name. A farmer in the peaceful village of Deokpung, Matthew leads a simple existence, punctuated by the cultivation of his precious rare white mushrooms and a multitude of odd jobs.
His life is discreet, stable and deliberately removed from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. For him, the calm of the countryside is not a constraint, but a conscious choice. Until the day when his perfectly regulated daily routine is suddenly turned upside down.
An insomniac star turns up unannounced
This upheaval has a name: Dam Ye-jin, played by Chae Won-bin. Ye-jin, a star presenter at the peak of her career, suffers from severe insomnia that profoundly upsets her equilibrium. Convinced that Matthew's white mushrooms could be the key to her problem, she sets out to meet him.
Determined and unaccustomed to hearing the word «no», Ye-jin arrives in the village of Deokpung and starts following Matthew insistently, disrupting the serenity he had built up. This unexpected intrusion gives rise to a relationship made up of friction, funny situations and, little by little, an unexpected complicity.
Between the gentleness of rural life and the boundless energy of a celebrity in search of a break, Sold Out on You promises a luminous romance, rooted in strong contrasts and endearing characters.
The drama Sold Out on You is scheduled for release in spring 2026 (April 1st according to 1st rumors) on SBS.
