The new SBS drama, “Sold Out on You”is starting to make waves with the revelation of its very first official poster. Starring Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin, this romantic comedy promises an original dynamic between 2 characters whom everything seems to oppose.

The story follows Matthew Lee, nicknamed “Mechoori” (quail), a resourceful farmer who works several jobs, and Dam Ye-jin, a TV shopping star who suffers from chronic insomnia. Their encounter between the countryside and the TV set promises to be as unexpected as it is eventful.

An intriguing face-off right from the poster

The unveiled visual immediately sets the scene. Matthew Lee appears seated in front of a multitude of television screens, smiling slightly. His work gloves tucked into his suspenders are a reminder of his everyday rural life.

On every screen, Dam Ye-jin is live, hosting a teleshopping show. But one detail catches the eye: in every image, her gaze is turned towards him, as if she's trying to reach him through the screen.

Next to her, a phrase attracts curiosity: «CEO? Please, I'm begging you.» A plea that contrasts with Matthew Lee's attitude.

A relationship full of mystery

Matthew Lee is unmoved by this request. Without even turning around, he replies firmly: «I'm not a CEO. And no, absolutely not.»

This short exchange already raises many questions. Why does Dam Ye-jin call him “CEO”? What is she trying to get from him? And above all, why does Matthew Lee seem so determined to refuse?

This interplay of tension and curiosity hints at an atypical romance, where Dam Ye-jin's persistence may well end up shaking Matthew Lee's certainties.
