SBS took advantage of the 2025 SBS Drama Awards to unveil a special teaser for « Sold Out Again Today», a springtime romantic comedy that brings together Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin in a confrontation as unexpected as it is explosive. Between peaceful rural life and unapologetic urban ambition, the drama promises a romance built on the clash of worlds.

A multitasking farmer and a star who never gives up

Ahn Hyo-seop plays Matthew Lee, nicknamed Mechoori (“Quail”), a quiet farmer who works three jobs to keep his farm running. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, he leads a quiet life in the village of Deokpung, surrounded by his precious rare white mushrooms, which he protects like a treasure.

Facing him, Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) arrives unannounced. A brilliant star presenter, but suffering from severe insomnia, she has a direct, almost bulldozer-like personality. From the moment she arrives, her goal is clear: to get her hands on Matthew's famous mushrooms, even if it means following him around and completely ignoring his annoyance.

A romance born of stubbornness

The teaser perfectly illustrates this clash of personalities. From their very first encounter, Matthew attempts to put an end to the intrusion with deliberate coldness: «I hope we won't see each other again.» He even closes the gate to his farm, convinced that he has solved the problem.

But Ye-jin categorically refuses to give up. «Since I've come this far, I might as well get those mushrooms,» she says before climbing over the fence, a symbol of her unwavering determination. True to her philosophy («I'll do things my way»), she launches a series of attacks, relentlessly striking at Matthew's well-guarded defenses.

As the narration points out, «nothing can stop someone who moves forward without ever backing down.» Little by little, this persistence begins to crack the tranquility, and the heart, of the lonely farmer. From irritation to curiosity, then to something more tender, the relationship that emerges is as intriguing as it is amusing.

Sold Out Again Today will be broadcast in spring 2026 on SBS.
