tvN has released the first images of the upcoming drama Pro Bonoa high-energy, emotionally-charged courtroom series that's already looking promising. This new project features actress So Joo-yeon in a luminous, inhabited role: that of Park Ki-bbeum, a public service lawyer driven by an unbridled passion for the law.
A legal fangirl with a big heart
Pro Bono tells the story of a materialistic, success-obsessed judge who suddenly finds himself working as a public interest lawyer. In this chaotic universe, So Joo-yeon plays Park Ki-bbeum, a young woman who puts her heart and soul into any subject that arouses her curiosity. As a child, she loved to immerse herself in all kinds of passions, whether novels, musicals, manga or animation. But all that changed the day she happened to take a humanities course that introduced her to constitutional law.
Since then, this "legal enthusiast" has found pleasure in copying articles of the Constitution into beautifully decorated notebooks and spending hours in libraries studying legal texts. Guided by this sincere passion, she eventually graduated at the top of her class before joining a team of volunteer lawyers who offer their services free of charge for the public good.
A luminous and inspiring heroine
The first official photos reveal a radiant Park Ki-bbeum, her eyes shining with determination as she defends her clients in court. You can feel the fervor of a young woman for whom the law is more than a profession: it's a true vocation. Her smile, full of energy and gentleness, reflects the joy she finds in every case, where others see it as mere work.
"While it may just be a job for some, for Park Ki-bbeum, every moment spent with the law is a source of happiness and healing," explains the production.
Pro Bono's first poster
A first poster featuring Jeong Kyeong-ho and Snow White's red apple seen in one of the series' first teasers has been unveiled by tvN.
Pro Bono will be broadcast from December 6 at 9:10pm (KST) on tvN (international broadcaster pending).
