tvN continues to unveil its new Monday-Tuesday drama, « Siren's Kiss« and the latest teaser already promises tension as bewitching as it is dangerous. Scheduled for broadcast from March 2, 8:50pm (KST), The drama promises to be a blend of romance and psychological thriller, carried by Wi Ha-joon, Park Min-young and Kim Jung-hyun.
A woman at the heart of mysterious deaths
The teaser opens with a chilling account of the tragic deaths of 3 men who fell in love with Han Seol-ah. Han Seol-ah, a brilliant auctioneer and a central figure at Royal Auction, seems to be the only thing these deaths have in common.
In the face of suspicion, Han Seol-ah displays a baffling assurance. Even when confronted by the police, she doesn't waver, calmly saying, «Do you have any proof that this is murder?» A phrase that perfectly sums up her attitude: elegant, elusive and possibly dangerous.
Cha Woo-seok, an insurance fraud investigator, decides to look into the case. Convinced that Han Seol-ah might have received money after the death of her former lovers, he begins to follow her closely. But far from being intimidated, she warns him bluntly: «If you don't want to get into unnecessary misunderstandings, stay away.»
Fascination, obsession and threat
As Cha Woo-seok and Han Seol-ah engage in a tense face-off, a third character upsets the balance. Baek Jun-beom, a young start-up CEO, enters Han Seol-ah's life with an assumed, almost disturbing interest. He doesn't hesitate to confess: «I feel like I've fallen in love.»
Unlike him, Han Seol-ah remains impassive, her gaze empty, as if cut off from all emotion. The teaser concludes with a sentence that's heavy with meaning: «A love that calls for death begins.» A dramatic promise that foreshadows a fatal spiral for men who get too close to her.
