As its airing date approaches, tvN's new drama « Siren's Kiss »continues to distill its mysteries. But this time.., Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon spoke about the complex, emotionally-charged relationship between their characters.
A relationship born of suspicion
Han Seol-ah is the head auctioneer at Royal Auction. Elegant and elusive, she trails behind her heavy rumors: several men who loved her died after taking out a life insurance policy of which she was the beneficiary. A troubling common thread that fuels suspicions and makes her a figure as fascinating as she is disturbing.
These rumors reach Cha Woo-seok, an insurance fraud investigator with the best arrest rate in the business. Armed with a keen sense of analysis and unfailing tenacity, he sets out on Han Seol-ah's trail. But as their closeness grows, his certainties begin to falter, leaving a central question hanging in the air: is Han Seol-ah really guilty, or is she exerting an influence capable of clouding his judgment?
«Saving each other»
To describe their dynamic, Park Min-young highlights the contrast between the two characters. She explains that Cha Woo-seok is «a man of great energy and mental strength, the opposite of Han Seol-ah». She adds, «He knows how to do the right thing and becomes a real source of healing for Han Seol-ah, which she deeply needs.»
For his part, Wi Ha-joon sums up their relationship with a strong keyword: «savior». According to him, «these 2 people, unable to escape their deep wounds, meet and end up healing and saving each other.»
The images unveiled by the production perfectly illustrate this latent tension. Initially linked by a strictly professional relationship (a suspect facing an investigator) Han Seol-ah and Cha Woo-seok maintain their distance, while gradually lowering their guard. It's a slow, fragile evolution that foreshadows a relationship in which mistrust could turn into redemption.
Scheduled for broadcast from March 2 on tvN and Prime Video, Siren's Kiss promises to be a romance-thriller where love mingles with doubt, suspicion... and danger.
