JTBC has unveiled first images from Kim Min-ju in its new Friday drama « Shining« offering a sensitive insight into a character marked by human warmth, the passage of time and memories of an unforgettable first love.

Mo Eun-ah, a soft light in the heart of everyday life
In Shining, Kim Min-ju plays Mo Eun-ah, a warm, sincere and deeply caring young woman. Her luminous personality, capable of softening any environment, is naturally reflected in her work. After starting out in the hotel business, she became the manager of a traditional guest house in Seoul, a welcoming place where everyone immediately feels at home.
Always looking out for others, Mo Eun-ah creates a comforting atmosphere around her that makes you want to come back, no matter where she is. The first images show her calm, poised, almost at peace, embodying an emotional stability forged over the years.
A first love as a compass for life
This serenity is rooted in a fundamental memory: his first love, Yeon Tae-seo, played by Park Jinyoung. At the age of 19, when she was going through a period of self-doubt and studying alone during the summer vacations, Yeon Tae-seo came into her life and had a profound effect on her.

This discreet but decisive meeting enabled Mo Eun-ah to project herself for the first time into the future, where she wanted to go, what she wanted to become and who she wanted to move forward with. For her, Yeon Tae-seo was a real guiding light, illuminating a hitherto uncertain path.
The recently unveiled snapshots finely underscore the contrast between these two periods of his life. At 19, a simple glance at her phone is enough to arouse palpable excitement. In his thirties, his emotions seem more restrained and controlled, reflecting the weight of time and accumulated experience.

As Mo Eun-ah reunites with Yeon Tae-seo as an adult, anticipation builds around their reunion and how this emotionally-charged past will shake up their present.
The series will be broadcast from March 6, 8:50pm (KST) on jTBC (waiting for an OTT).
