Romantic drama «Shining» continues to reveal the depth of its story ahead of its March 6 broadcast on JTBC. The new images show the different stages of the relationship between Yeon Tae-seo (Park Jinyoung) and Mo Eun-ah (Kim Min-ju), from adolescence to adulthood.
The series follows young people who shared a world of their own before becoming, over time, an essential presence in each other's lives.
From first love to separation
It all begins during the summer vacation of senior year, when Tae-seo transfers to a new high school. He and Eun-ah, both serious and marked by their own difficulties, gradually grow closer until they become their respective first loves.
Tae-seo, usually very rational, is surprisingly idealistic in his feelings for Eun-ah. For her part, she begins to imagine her future more clearly thanks to him. The first images show them studying side by side in the library, in a calm, gentle atmosphere.
But this happy period doesn't last. Other photos reveal the growing tension before their break-up: Tae-seo stares at her phone, trying to remain impassive, while Eun-ah, always smiling, bursts into tears.
A reunion years later
The latest glimpse shows their unexpected meeting in their thirties. After years apart, the two former lovers come face to face again by chance, rekindling memories and emotions.
«Shining» promises a melancholy romance about the passage of time, missed opportunities and feelings that persist despite the years.
Netflix acquires international rights
The first two episodes will air on March 6 at 8:50pm (Korean time), and the good news is that Netflix has acquired the international rights, so the drama will be available on the platform at the same time as its broadcast.
