The countdown is on for A Hundred Memories, JTBC's next Kdrama, set in Korea in the 1980s. This youthful melodrama tells the story of two friends, Ko Yeong-rye (played by Kim Da-mi) and Seo Jong-hui (played by Shin Ye-eun), who work as bus hostesses. to support themselves in a difficult social context.

And it's precisely the arrival of Shin Ye-eun in the series that is already causing a stir. The first images unveiled by the production team show Seo Jong-hui on her first day at Cheonga Transportation. Her look, her attitude, her boundless energy... everything about her instantly grabs attention. But be warned, her divisive charisma provokes admiration and distrust in equal measure. Right from the start, she dares to chew a piece of gum in front of the dormitory authority figure, suggesting that she's not one to let anyone walk all over her.

The character of Jong Hui promises to be as complex as she is captivating. According to the production team, she is a young woman full of contradictions, both provocative and endearing, carried by Shin Ye-eun's unique aura. Her style, self-assurance and that little chewing-gum detail even become symbols of a daring youth, bucking convention.

With release scheduled for September 13A Hundred Memories promises to be a poignant tribute to a generation that grew up in adversity, but also a great showcase for Shin Ye Eun, who could well embody a new icon of the 80s. The series has yet to announce a broadcast on international OTT platforms, but a teaser is already available.
A must-watch if you like tales of friendship, struggle and female emancipation in a changing Korea.
