It's a new project that's already attracting a lot of attention. Shin Seung-ho was approached for contact Suzy and Dex in the drama Men of the harem (provisional title), adapted from the famous web-novel of the same name.
The synopsis? An empress and her concubines
The story takes place in the Empire of Tariumdirected by the Empress Latil (played by Suzy). To protect her throne and maintain her power, she makes the bold decision to welcome several male cohabitants to the court. This unprecedented choice will give rise to a fresco by romance, politics and palace intriguewhere love meets danger.
According to preliminary information, Shin Seung-ho is set to play one of these concubines. Although his exact role has yet to be confirmed, his presence already promises to add a special intensity to the story. His agency, King Kong by Starshipsaid that the project is currently "under discussion".
Another actor approached for a role, Kim Dan (recently seen in The winning try), who would also play a concubine.
The drama brings together some of the biggest names in Korean television. It will be directed by Lee Eung-bokthe master behind such hits as Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine and Sweet Home. The screenplay is by Hwang Jin-youngknown for writing the drama Lover. Production will be entrusted to Studio Dragona guarantee of quality and ambitious resources.
Shin Seung-ho, a steady rise
Revealed in 2018 with the webdrama A-TeenShin Seung-ho has rapidly established himself as one of the up-and-coming actors of his generation. He has appeared in Moment at Eighteen, Love Alarm, Friend Contractthe hit series "D.P.but also in Weak Hero Class 1, Alchemy of Soulsas well as in Pilot and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. With each project, he broadens his palette and establishes himself as a versatile talent.
With Suzy as an empress and Shin Seung-ho cohabiting, Men of the Harem is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited dramas of all time, combining romance, power and sensuality in a grandiose fantasy universe. Filming will begin in early 2026.
