Disney+ has unveiled the first images of The Remarried Empressthe long-awaited adaptation of the famous web novel of the same name. The drama transports us to an imperial universe where love, power and betrayal intertwine at the heart of two rival empires.
At the heart of the story Navier, empress of the Eastern Empire, dismissed overnight by the man she thought she knew best: her husband, Emperor Sovieshu. However, her brutal fall becomes the starting point for an unexpected rebirth.
A betrayed empress, a new destiny
Shin Min-ah plays Navier, respected for her intelligence and natural elegance. Her life is turned upside down when Sovieshu, her childhood friend turned emperor, tells her of a breakup she never imagined. Devastated but determined, she raises her head and "asks Prince Heinrey", ruler of the neighboring kingdom, to remarry her.

Ju Ji-hoon lends his features to Sovieshu, all-powerful emperor who had grown up alongside Navier. Despite promising "never to take a concubine", he betrays his commitment and demands a divorce, upsetting the balance they had built up.

A mysterious prince and an ambitious young woman
Lee Jong-suk plays Heinrey, prince of the Western Empire, shrouded in rumors and the bearer of an as yet unknown secret. While he approaches Navier with hidden intentions, he gradually finds himself caught up in his own game, falling genuinely in love with her.

Lee Se-young plays Rashta, a former slave with exceptional beauty. Saved during a hunting trip by Sovieshu, she discovers that her benefactor is the emperor himself. An encounter that opens the door to ambitions she would never have dared imagine.

The Remarried Empress will be broadcast exclusively on Disney+ in the second half of 2026. A romantic and political saga that fantasy fans are already looking forward to.
