The trio of key players Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se and Heo Sung-tae may well be reunited in a new comedy-drama expected on MBC : Fifty Percent. While their casting is still under discussion, the announcement has already got fans up in arms.

Scheduled for early 2026The series promises a touching, self-deprecating dive into the lives of 3 once-powerful men in their fifties, now faced with time fatigue, regrets... and a healthy dose of absurdity.
Three "ajusshis" on the verge of burn-out... and a comeback
Fifty Percent (오십프로) features 3 characters with impressive pasts but far less glorious realities:
- Jung Ho-myung (Shin Ha-kyun): former elite South Korean secret service agent, master of infiltration. Once one of the best "black ops" agents, he now struggles with a worn-out body and flagging motivation.
- Bong Je-soon (Oh Jung-se): ex-North Korean agent, considered the ultimate "human weapon". Today, he's battling the mental scars of his past and a growing depression. His greatest battle is now within.
- Ex-number 2 of the country's biggest gang (Heo Sung-tae): he made the whole of Korea tremble with a single glance. And now? He holds a convenience storeand think about the future with more anxiety than certainty.
A Kdrama of laughter, blues and heartfelt action.
With this project, MBC wants to break the mould. No youth romance or fantasy here, but a heartfelt, sometimes bitter, sometimes funny tale of life after 50. For although these men may have "made it" in the past, it's today that they face their greatest challenge: continue to live, differently.
The producers are announcing a series that will be "realistic, emotional and unexpected", with a trio of highly respected actors, all of whom have already been seen in prominent roles. And if Oh Jung-se and Heo Sung Tae confirm, it will be their second consecutive project together after Good Boy, currently on air.
