Twelvethe highly-anticipated action drama, has just unveiled new images of its characters, and expectations are already high. Scheduled to air on Disney+ from August 23, 2025this drama offers a thrilling new vision of the angels of the zodiac, ready to defend humanity against the forces of evil.
A mythological battle between Good and Evil
Twelve tells the story of twelve angels of the zodiaceach possessing the powers of a sign of the zodiac, living in human form to protect mankind. But as the angels fight for good, they find themselves up against dark forces threatening to engulf all. Tae San (performed by Ma Dong-seok), a charismatic and imposing leader, directs the team of angels with commanding presence and incredible power. With his role as Tae Sanhe plays a character worthy of the sign of the Lionwhose leadership and determination leave no room for failure.
Opposite him is O Gwi (played by Park Hyung-sik), a menacing character who plans to use soul stones to plunge the world into darkness. His cold stare and imposing posture accentuate the tension between the 2 camps, promising intense on-screen confrontations.
Won Seung (played by Seo In-guk), as well as Mir (played by Lee Joo-bin), Doni (performed by Ko Kyu-pil), Kang Ji (played by Kang Mi-na), Jwi Dol (performed by Sung Yoo-bin), Mal Suk (performed by Ahn Ji-hye) and Bang Ul (played by Regina Lei), are the other angels ready to defend humanity. Each member of this team has unique powers that fuel dynamic action scenes and provide moments of great tension, building anticipation for their on-screen interactions.
Intersecting destinies and a crucial mission
Visit angel supervisor, Marok (performed by Sung Dong-ll), also appears in a striking scene, touching his pendant gravely, lost in thought. This enigmatic gesture raises the question of the future of the angels left behind in the human world, and the tragic events that could unfold.
We also discover the interior of Angel capital, the headquarters of Tae-san and the angels. The plaque on the wall is a reminder of their mission: "Generously benefit humanity".
One of the most striking images shows O GwiThe city was observed from an elevated position. After being sealed for thousands of years, O Gwi emerges into a world that no longer recognizes him. His secret intentions and motivations remain unclear, adding to the mystery and tension of what promises to be an epic battle between angels and the forces of evil.
