As he prepares to join the army, Ro Woon has not said his last word when it comes to K-dramas. On July 23, the South Korean media confirmed that the actor and ex-member of SF9 will be making a special appearance in the series Confidence Queenscheduled for September 6 on TV Chosun (and Prime video).
A touching loyalty to its director
This participation is not insignificant: Ro Woon accepted this cameo for support director Nam Ki-hoonwith whom he had previously collaborated on the drama Destined with You in 2023. A fine demonstration of loyalty, once again showing the actor's commitment to his working partners.
This isn't the first time Ro Woon has made a cameo for a loved one before his departure. Last month, he appeared in Spring of Youth to support his friend and labelmate Lee Seung -hyub (N.Flying).
An ambitious series and a still-secret role
Confidence Queen (also known by its Korean title 컨피던스맨 KR) is a Kdrama based on the famous Japanese drama The Confidence Man JP. We'll be following 3 high-level crooks using their talents to bring down corrupt figures in society, such as mafiosi and unscrupulous executives.
Produced by Nam Ki-hoon (Big Bet, Destined with You) and written by Hong Seung-hyun (Criminal Minds), the series promises to be intense and full of dark humor. Starring : Park Min-young, Joo Jong-hyuk, Park Hee-soon and Hyun Bong-sik. The role of Ro Woonstill remains shrouded in mysteryBut his appearance promises to be a memorable one.

A busy career before the military break
Originally scheduled for July 12, Ro Woon's military enlistment postponed due to an additional medical examination. According to his agency FNC Entertainment, the actor is expected to undergo a further assessment in early August. Ro Woon still hopes to join the army as an active soldier as soon as his status is confirmed.
And even after his departure, fans won't be totally deprived of their star: Ro Woon will appear in the series The Murky Streama Disney+ original drama alongside Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-hamand Park Ji-hwan.

Confidence Queen will start on September 6 at 9:10pm (KST) on TV Chosunand will be broadcast worldwide via Amazon Prime Video. In Korea, the series will also be available on Coupang Play. Ro Woon's cameo appearance in Confidence Queen is a touching nod to his past collaborations and a nice gift for his fans before his absence from the screen. An event not to be missed!
