As its first broadcast approaches, « Shining » continues to reveal the contours of its story through a new teaser and the introduction of its secondary characters. The drama follows Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah, 2 young people who once shared a world of their own before finding each other again ten years later.
The main teaser opens with an emotional phone call. On a bridge overlooking the Han River, Yeon Tae-seo receives a call from Mo Eun-ah, who simply says, «It's been a long time.»
His melancholy gaze hints at a past still present.
A love story suspended in time
The teaser then takes us back to their youth, marked by a simple first encounter: «I'm Mo Eun-ah.»
From that moment on, the two become inseparable, sharing luminous memories. Yet their relationship begins to crack. On their way home from school, they stop for a moment at a familiar crossroads, before turning in opposite directions.
Ten years later, their reunion is marked by a new distance. Mo Eun-ah asks:
«Is it okay if I come back like this?»
Tae-seo replies with determination, «It will work... in ways you don't expect.»
And Eun-ah repeats, «In a way I don't expect.»
These exchanges suggest that he's ready to stop letting their bond slip away.
Characters who enrich their journey
The drama also highlights its secondary cast. Sung Yoo-bin plays Yeon Hee-seo, Tae-seo's younger brother. Working in a rural post office, he has a warm, outgoing personality, despite a leg injury.

Kim Ji-hyun plays Park So-hyun, a journalist from Hawaii. While covering a story, she becomes close to Mo Seon-gyu, Eun-ah's father, played by Kim Tae-hoon. He has moved to a rural town after his divorce, and is raising his daughter alone, sharing his passion for natural cooking.

These parallel relationships promise to add depth and nuance to the main story.
The drama will air on March 6 at 8:50pm (KST) on JTBC and Netflix.
