"Reply 1988": the cast reunites as a family in a moving teaser for the drama's 10th anniversary

Ten years after making their mark on an entire generation of fans, the family of Ssangmundong is back together. On December 11, tvN and Channel Fullmoon unveiled a teaser celebrating the 10th anniversary of Reply 1988offering a foretaste of a 3-part special that promises to be as nostalgic as it is moving.

An instant trip to 1988

In this teaser, the actors are literally plunged back into the heart of 1988, surrounded by their on-screen families. Despite the years, the chemistry remains intact: everyone naturally finds their place as if the shoot had never ended. With its festive decor, reminiscent discussions and impromptu games, the atmosphere immediately evokes the warmth of the neighborhood that made the drama such a success.

The teaser features the 5 emblematic families of Ssangmundong. Ryu Jun-yeol appears first, meeting up with his partners Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sung-kyun, Ahn Jae-hong and Lee Min-ji. In a humorous wink, Kim Sung-kyun says to Ra Mi-ran, "You must have won the lottery again.

Deok-seon's side of the family, Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa, Ryu Hye-young, Hyeri and Choi Sung-won rediscover their legendary complicity. The 2 on-screen sisters, Hyeri and Ryu Hye-young, launch into an energetic dance... and despite Sung Dong-il's teasing remark ("I told you to stop that")
Lee Il-hwa eventually joined them, triggering a burst of laughter from Choi Sung-won.

The teaser also shows Yoo Jae-myung and Lee Dong-hwi in friendly joust during the games, before resuming their role as fraternal figures. Park Bo-gum and Choi Moo-sung The result is a gentle, emotional reminder of the father-son relationship that has so impressed viewers. Last but not least, Go Kyung-pyo and Kim Sun-young add a touch of humor and emotion, true to this unforgettable duo.

In the midst of this warm atmosphere, Yoo Jae-myung confides, "Ten years have passed, but it feels like only 2 or 3."

Sung Dong-il adds with emotion: "It's a drama that's impossible to forget. That's why we all came back, unchanged."

The teaser concludes with a mystery: a surprise guest is announced, arousing fans' curiosity even further. This 3-part anniversary special of Reply 1988 will be broadcast from December 19, 8:40pm (KST).
