KBS2«s upcoming family drama, " Recipe for Love »continues to reveal its many facets with new images focusing on Kim Seung-soo and Yoo Ho-jung. Behind the smooth image of a respected couple, a relationship gradually takes shape that is weakened by opposing values and irreconcilable lifestyle choices.
The series focuses on 2 families bound by 30 years of resentment. As the unspoken resurfaces and old wounds are opened up anew, the story follows a slow, bumpy road to reconciliation.
A marriage tested by convictions
Yoo Ho-jung plays Han Seong-mi, a psychiatrist renowned for her intelligence, rigor and public aura. Daughter-in-law of the Gongmyeongjeongdaehan clinic, she enjoys an impeccable image, often perceived as that of a marital role model. Yet behind this façade, Seong-mi maintains a marked emotional distance from her own family.
Facing her, Gong Jeong-han (Kim Seung-soo), the clinic's director, is distinguished by his humanity and modesty. Deeply attached to his principles, he systematically places his patients at the center of his priorities, sometimes to the detriment of his personal life. This discrepancy, long contained, eventually becomes impossible to ignore.
When the perfect image cracks
The recently unveiled images subtly illustrate this growing tension. Absent glances, heavy silences, restrained gestures: the couple oscillate between closeness and distance, as if suspended at a breaking point. An unexpected controversy then acts as a catalyst, forcing Han Seong-mi and Gong Jeong-han to confront their deepest disagreements.
On one side, a confident, influential woman, convinced of her choices. On the other, a man who is discreet but unshakeable in his convictions. Recipe for Love promises a nuanced portrait of marriage, far from idealizations, where love comes face to face with the reality of personal values.

The drama will air from January 31 at 8 p.m. (KST), no OTT planned yet.
