SBS to launch Queen Mantisa breathtaking thriller that marks the return of Jang Dong Yoon in an intense, complex role.
Adapted from the French series The Mantisthe drama tells the story of Jung Yi-shin (Go Hyun-jung), a notorious serial killer nicknamed The Mantis. 20 years ago, she brutally murdered 5 men before being arrested and imprisoned. But when a new killer begins replicating her signature method, the police have no choice but to ask for her help.
This is where Cha Soo-yeol (Jang Dong-yoon), a seasoned detective... and son of Jung Yi-shin. After a lifetime of hating her, he finds himself forced to collaborate with her to track down the Copycat.
New images released by SBS show Cha Soo-yeol in the middle of an investigation, focused and determined at a crime scene. His piercing gaze conveys the tenacity of an investigator ready to do anything, even face his own demons, to solve the case.
The production team promises an intense performance:
