SBS has unveiled the main poster for « Phantom Lawyer« giving a clearer insight into the drama's fantastic concept. The series follows Shin I-rang, a lawyer who can see ghosts, and Han Na-hyun, an elite lawyer with whom he tries to resolve the injustices left by the dead.
The image plunges us straight into their office. Behind them appear deities and deceased figures drawn in a style inspired by traditional folk paintings, suggesting that this place goes far beyond a simple law office and serves as a gateway to the invisible world.
Holding a black fan, Shin I-rang humorously introduces himself: «You've come to the right place. I'm a ghost lawyer.»
One face for all minds
A closer look at the poster reveals a surprising detail: all the supernatural figures have the face of Shin I-rang. This choice heralds the fact that several spirits will take possession of him over the course of the story, regularly transforming his personality.
The production team explains: «The main poster captures both the world of Phantom Lawyer and the contrast between the two main characters. Yoo Yeon-seok expresses a mischievous charisma while Esom displays an unflappable calm, creating a subtle and amusing tension.»
A different role for each episode
Possession thus becomes a central element of the drama. Each appearance of a spirit allows the actor to embody a new character, constantly renewing the narrative.
The production adds, «Through the possessions, Yeon-seok will play new characters in each episode and enhance the fun of the drama. You'll be able to feel intense, shivering excitement.»
Phantom Lawyer will be broadcast on March 13 at 9:50pm (KST) on SBS (pending OTT).
