The best friend you can always count on

In Positively Yours, Hong Jong-hyun lends his features to Cha Min-wook, assistant manager in the sales team at Taehan Liquor. Colleague and close friend of Jang Hee-won (Oh Yeon-seo), Min-wook is described as a gentle, considerate man who is always ready to listen.

Recently released stills show him sitting on a bench near their workplace, sharing a coffee with Hee-won. He listens to her talk about her worries, offers her sincere advice, and stands by her side without ever imposing himself. Min-wook thus embodies the archetype of the “male best friend” Ideal: present, reliable, and deeply caring.

When friendship is put to the test

Until now, Min-wook has always maintained a clear boundary, describing their relationship as simply friendship. But the arrival of an unexpected element (Kang Doo-joon (Choi Jin-hyuk), the charismatic CEO of Taehan Liquor, upsets this carefully preserved balance.

Faced with this new man who has entered Hee-won's life, Min-wook begins to experience emotions he had never imagined. These budding feelings, subtle yet profound, promise to add a more nuanced dimension to the central romance, posing a universal question: What happens when friendship turns into something else too late?

Through Min-wook, Positively Yours explores the gray areas between affection, loyalty, and unexpressed love, a delicate emotional terrain that is often a source of bittersweet tension.

Positively Yours will be broadcast from January 17, 2026, at 10:30 p.m. (KST) on Channel A and on Viki.
