The legal drama « Phantom Lawyer »continues to unveil its power figures. New images highlight Kim Kyung-nam, who plays the role of a leader ready to do anything to preserve the legal empire he considers his personal fortress.
Blending the supernatural with emotion, Phantom Lawyer follows Shin Yi-rang, a lawyer who can see ghosts, and Han Na-hyun, an elite lawyer, as they help unusual clients resolve their grievances through the law. In the shadow of this duo, a battle for influence is being waged at the top.
A CEO with a smooth face and opaque intentions
Kim Kyung-nam plays Yang Do-kyung, CEO of the prestigious Taebaek law firm and son of its unofficial owner. Behind his well-groomed appearance and apparent calm, he wields duplicity with formidable efficiency. For him, running Taebaek is not just another mission: it's a matter of survival and control.
The images show him with his arms folded, observing the situation from a distance. His gaze is steady, his expression controlled, almost inscrutable. But this amiable facade seems to mask another, darker truth, ready to emerge when the balance is threatened.
When the established order begins to crack
For Yang Do-kyung, the Taebaek firm is a bastion to be defended at all costs. And in this strategy, only one ally really counts: Han Na-hyun, played by Esom. He sees in her an ideal partner, driven by an unshakeable thirst for victory and capable of moving forward without second thoughts.
But the arrival of Shin Yi-rang, embodied by Yoo Yeon-seok, disrupts this carefully constructed order. By winning an unexpected victory over Taebaek and influencing Han Na-hyun's own choices, the new lawyer creates cracks in Yang Do-kyung's world. As these cracks widen, his true nature may well be revealed.
The production team describes the character as seemingly stable, but driven by intense desires. In their opinion, Kim Kyung-nam brings a constant tension, subtly revealing the coldness lurking behind an emotionless face.
The drama Phantom Lawyer will be broadcast from March 13 at 9:50pm (KST) on SBS (waiting for an OTT).
