The drama “Perfect Crown” continues to unveil its universe, and this time the focus is on the characters revolving around the main couple. Yoo Su-bin and Lee Yeon will play the loyal confidants of Grand Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo-seok) and Sung Hee-joo (IU).
Set in a modern Korea that has become a constitutional monarchy, the drama tells the love story of Sung Hee-joo, a chaebol heiress with everything but noble status, and Yi An, a prince with no real power despite his royal blood. Bound by a contractual marriage, the two protagonists will have to deal with the strict rules of rank and power.
Unwavering loyalty
Yoo Su-bin plays Choi Hyun, Prince Yi An's devoted aide. Behind his gentle exterior lies a fierce loyalty. Taken in by the prince when he was a child, Choi Hyun's loyalty is almost absolute, and he doesn't hesitate to scold him out of affection. Their relationship goes beyond the hierarchical: it's as much about friendship as it is about family.
For her part, Lee Yeon plays Do Hye-jung, chief secretary to Sung Hee-joo, CEO of Castle Beauty. Having grown up abroad, she sees social status as a simple, almost neutral parameter. While she struggles to fully understand her boss's frustrations with rank barriers, her sincerity and commitment remain unwavering.
A new on-screen chemistry
The first images reveal two impeccable, competent assistants who are deeply attached to their superiors. Choi Hyun's impeccable suit and unshakeable attitude, Do Hye-jung's elegance adapted to every situation.
As Sung Hee-joo and Yi An find themselves bound together by their contractual marriage, their confidants are also bound to cross paths regularly. The chemistry and teamwork between Choi Hyun and Do Hye-jung could well become another highlight of the drama.
“Perfect Crown” is scheduled for broadcast in April.
