MBC's next drama, « Perfect Crown », continues to build anticipation by unveiling new images focusing on its two protagonists, played by IU and Byeon Woo-seok.
The story takes place in an alternative universe where modern Korea functions as a constitutional monarchy. Sung Hee-joo (IU) is the heiress of a powerful chaebol: she has everything but royal status. In contrast, Grand Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo-seok), son of the king, holds a prestigious title but seems deprived of real power and freedom.
A contract marriage that shakes the nation
Faced with limits they can't cross alone, Sung Hee-joo and Yi An decide to enter into a contractual marriage to change their destiny. The unexpected announcement of this union provokes a nationwide shock, placing their relationship at the center of all attention.
The new photos, taken paparazzi-style, reveal a glimpse into their daily lives as soon-to-be-weds. We see them getting out of the same car, Sung Hee-joo playfully clinging to Yi An's arm. Her shy smile contrasts with the prince's naturally regal aura, creating an atmosphere worthy of a newly united couple.

Looks that speak volumes
Other shots show them separated by traditional giwa tiles, exchanging cautious but emotionally charged glances. Between restraint and tenderness, the romantic tension is palpable and foreshadows a striking on-screen chemistry.

With its blend of contemporary royalty, strategic marriage and budding romance, «Perfect Crown» promises a high-pressure romance in which love may well become the most unpredictable weapon of all.
Broadcast from April 3 on MBC and Disney + (depending on country).
