KBS2 is set to launch an intense new daily drama with « Pearl in Red« supported by Park Jin-hee in a two particularly striking roles. The series tells the story of 2 women who return under false identities to unearth the sins and buried secrets of a powerful family, the Adeles.
Park Jin-hee stars as twin sisters Kim Myung-hee and Kim Dan-hee, whose lives take radically different paths. Myung-hee, the eldest, is a kind-hearted nurse who aspires to a simple life of love and stability. Her gentle smile and reassuring presence give the impression of a peaceful daily routine... until the day an unexpected truth turns everything upside down.
Revenge born of sacrifice
The new images unveiled give a glimpse of the gradual fracturing of this fragile happiness. We discover a Myung-hee overcome by anguish, on the verge of tears, announcing the tragedy that will seal her fate. Her death becomes the starting point for an irreversible turning point for her younger sister.
Kim Dan-hee, after learning the truth behind her twin's disappearance, renounces her own existence. She chooses to live under the identity of Myung-hee and embarks on a methodical vengeance, with a clear objective: to take control of the Adele Group. Now head of the conglomerate's organic division, Dan-hee imposes a cold elegance and implacable authority. Behind her apparent calm lies a constant tension, fueled by restrained anger and unfailing determination.
Through these two opposing figures (the sweetness sacrificed and the coldness forged by loss) Pearl in Red promises a revenge saga where identity, guilt and personal justice intertwine. Park Jin-hee deploys a contrasting emotional palette, embodying two women bound by blood, but separated by fate.
