It's now official: Park Jin-young (GOT7) and Kim Min-ju will headline the next drama « Shining« . A sensitive romance that promises to be a tale of discreet emotions, lingering memories and life paths that cross again.
The series will be produced by Kim Yoon-jinknown for Our Beloved Summer, and written by Lee Sook-yeon, screenwriter of A Piece of Your Mind. A combination that suggests an intimate narrative focused on feelings and the passage of time.

Two adults, a first love resurfaces
Park Jin-young embodies Yeon Tae-seo, a train driver with a lucid outlook on life. His credo is simple: «get through the day safely». With no big dreams or distant projections, Tae-seo has built an independent, stable existence focused on the present. Behind this calm, detached facade, however, lies a deep-seated sensitivity. His well-oiled routine is shaken when he is reunited with his first love of 19 years, awakening emotions he thought were buried.
Opposite him, Kim Min-ju lends her features to Mo Eun-ah, Eun-ah, a former hotel employee turned manager of a traditional Seoul guesthouse. Warm, expressive and full of life, Eun-ah is in search of a new balance. As she tries to redefine her priorities (where to live, with whom, and how) she experiences as many small victories as disillusionments. Her unexpected reunion with Tae-seo turns her daily life upside down and reopens a story she thought was over.
When memories become light
Shining focuses on the relationship between 2 characters who shared a decisive summer as teenagers, before losing sight of each other. By reuniting them in adulthood, the drama questions the place of memories in the present: can they become a burden, or on the contrary, a light for moving forward?
The series promises a gentle, realistic romance, carried by silences, glances and restrained emotions, where trust is rebuilt step by step. A story about how two people can, despite time and life's detours, once again become an anchor for each other.
Shining is expected in March 2026 on jTBC (waiting for an OTT).
