KBS2«s new daily drama, " Pearl in Red« promises to be a dark and intense fresco of revenge, driven by two heroines ready to do anything to bring down a powerful clan. Through falsified identities, buried secrets and shattered destinies, the series promises a gradual rise in tension right to the heart of the Adele family.
Two identities erased to get closer to the enemy
In Pearl in Red, Park Jin-hee and Nam Sang-ji play Kim Dan-hee and Baek Jin-joo, two women bound by a common pain: the brutal loss of their family. To survive (and above all to take revenge), they choose to erase their past and be reborn under new identities.
The recently unveiled poster is striking for its radical aesthetic. Against an intense red background, the faces of Kim Dan-hee and Baek Jin-joo are half hidden in shadow. This visual staging symbolizes their transformation and the weight of the secrets they carry in silence. True to the drama's slogan, «two women who killed their former lives for revenge».», The image suggests a point of no return: once you've entered the world of the Adele Group, there's no turning back.
Unaware of each other's true identities, the two women are nonetheless working towards the same goal. Their inevitable meeting could well upset the fragile balance of their plan.
From innocence to determination: Baek Jin-joo's metamorphosis
Before she became a cold, calculating strategist, Baek Jin-joo was an ordinary student, bright and gentle. The new images unveiled show this bygone past: a frank smile, a warm aura, a young woman still alien to hatred and loss.
But a sudden tragedy shatters this life. Jin-joo gives up his name and is reborn as Chloe Lee, a world-renowned consultant. Behind this elegant façade lies a woman driven by implacable determination. This evolution, from innocence to revenge, is one of the drama's strong emotional axes, and raises a central question: how far can you go without losing yourself?

The drama will air from February 23 at 7:50pm (KST) on KBS2.
