tvN unveils the first images of its new drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier”A fantastic military comedy with an original concept combining cuisine and the world of the army.
In this project, Park Ji-hoon plays the role of Kang Sung-jae, a soldier assigned to the kitchens, far removed from traditional heroic missions. But his routine is turned upside down when a mysterious quest interface suddenly appears in front of him, leading him on an unexpected adventure towards an extraordinary destiny.
Inspired by a popular web novel and webtoon, the drama promises a gradual rise from ordinary character to legend, with a touch of humor and fantasy.
An unlikely quest from kitchen to army
The recently unveiled poster shows Kang Sung-jae in action behind the stove, handling a flaming wok with ease and a confident smile. However, all the evidence suggests that he wasn't off to a winning start: a badge on his uniform classifies him as a “soldier in need of special attention”.
Despite this, his attitude hints at a spectacular evolution. The quest window floating beside him marks the beginning of his journey with these words: “Welcome, soldier. Your journey as a leader begins now.”
The slogan on the poster underlines this unexpected choice: “A kitchen knife rather than a gun, an apron rather than an ammunition belt.”
“The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” will be broadcast from May 11 at 8:50pm (Korean time) on tvN.
